Accelerating Total Workforce Readiness in Southeast Asia

47% of firms in Southeast and South Asia told i4cp they had only implemented flexible work arrangements since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. And for the most part, it was a strong success with most firms in those regions reporting higher levels of employee engagement, healthier cultures, and better performance than their competitors. The way works gets done has been forever altered and ‘flexibility’ must take priority in order to attract and retain top talent. Yet, most firms in these regions don’t believe they have a workforce with the skills needed to advance their firm’s strategy in the next 1-3 years. Join this session to learn what high-performance organizations are planning and doing to ensure they have the skills and capabilities wherever and whenever they are needed.

The Relationship Comes First

Work has been defined in many ways over the years: a contract, a transaction, a value exchange. This led to describing humans as capital and designing systems that treat people like assets to be managed and optimized. Employees crave the same things from work that they do from other important relationships in their lives: appreciation, connection, acceptance, communication, and support. In this session, we will explore how designing the employee experience through the lens of a healthy relationship will focus your employee engagement efforts for greater impact.

Culture As A Strategic Pillar

Traditional leadership doesn’t cut it anymore. Today, business success relies on exponential leadership and everything that it embodies, such as openness, engagement, continuous learning, creative problem solving and a growth mindset. Significant achievements are possible when these values are present everywhere from leadership to work culture.

Strategy and culture are among the primary levers at top leaders’ disposal in their never-ending quest to maintain organizational viability and effectiveness. Strategy offers a formal logic for the company’s goals and orients people around them. Impact of Technology on HR Jobs and Skills
Session Partner: IHRP

Disruption of jobs by technology is nothing new. The phrase “technological unemployment” was popularised by John Maynard Keynes in the 1930s, who said it was an “only a temporary phase of maladjustment”. Yet the issue of machines replacing human labour has been discussed since at least Aristotle’s time. Commissioned by the Institute of Human Resource Professionals and the Ministry of Manpower , Willis Tower Watsons did a study with over more than 60 interviews and 230 survey responses from business leaders and HR professionals to find out:

  • What technologies will impact HR in the future,
  • How jobs will change i.e. jobs and tasks that will be displaced, those that will be augmented, & new jobs & tasks that will emerge, &
  • Which skills will be critical to perform these roles, particularly the technology-related skills that HR professionals will require to perform jobs of the future.

Unleashing creativity in the new world of work
Session Partner: Roffey Park

In this session, we will examine how the world of work has changed. Combining covid, with the digital revolution, with blended working, how can and should we adapt organisational approaches to talent development and management?

Organisations used to be what was wrapped around employees. We ‘went’ to our organisations, we worked ‘at’ them, literally. Now, we the employees and managers are wrapped around a distant, technical organisation. Inside it are data and processes, outside it are the people and outcomes.

Thus, the new model of working needs to shift. Compliance belongs to old-style organisations. In the new organisation, four core interpersonal competencies will need to be prioritised:

• Communication
• Curiosity
• Creativity
• Commitment

In this talk we will explain how organisations, and employees, leaders and managers, need to think about and develop these interpersonal competences, enabling thriving, flourishing work across all employee experiences, wherever they are based.

HR at the Speed of the Customer | The Agile HR Workshop

Why is this Workshop so important and beneficial for you?

We live in an ideas economy; a powerful idea disrupts a decades old industry or a company. These ideas need companies, strategies, leaders and cultures to be at the speed of the customer. These ideas don’t necessarily come from a single industry either. The ideas economy is based on disruption from non-industry players and from seemingly dissimilar expertise areas as well as nearby competitors. A people strategy in this new world has to be driven by multi-industry influences and learning from all dissimilar areas to your company. This makes every company a technology, data and a platform business.
